hhhhhh (pronounced six h) is the project led by Hector J. Guerra, a musician originally from Texas, now based in Los Angeles who describes his music as “a bedroom-cultivated, city-slicker folk act” that seeks to “capture the sound a cactus makes as the wind breezes by it on a dark desert road in the middle of the night while the coyotes howl out yonder.”

It’s a pretty accurate description on the astonishing single “the garden” taken from his EP A Town Of Strangers. The track has a cinematic expansive nature that is full of dreamy production and vocals that do operate with a bit of a folk sense of wonderment and storytelling, but also navigated with a new age Arctic Monkeys rock sound that blends together into something cathartic and beautiful.
