Iclandic singer-songwriter Axel Flovent recently returned to the studio following his full-length debut, You Stay By The Sea, in order to record a new collaborative EP featuring vocalists from around the world.
The latest track shared from it is the lovely and intimate “Chaos” which features Swedish/Greek singer-songwriter Plàsi contributing vocals. It has a bit of an early 2000s feel, the sort of touching and genuine effort that probably would have snuck its way onto the Garden State soundtrack.
About the song Flovent added the following bit of background:
’Chaos’ is about trying to prepare for a time in one’s life that is impossible to prepare for; so, embrace the chaos and go with the flow,” says Axel. “I started writing it in a very chaotic state of mind. Plàsi helped me make sense of it. I had the idea of writing with him for my little collaboration project for two reasons. We’ve connected quite a lot over these last few months while planning our tour, and I thought it would be great to release a song together. And of course, the main reason being I’m a big fan of his work!
