Melbourne-based singer Abbie CW has returned with her new single “Different Desire,” which is included on Tremorverse Records’ compilation album Tremorverse Three, which was released on August 6th.
The song captures a bit of a retro chamber pop and classic folk sound, with a bit of a nostalgic pop twist in the vein of artists like Weyes Blood. Big expansive arrangements perfectly collide with her enchanting vocals which perfectly capture a sound from a bygone era in a fresh and engaging way.
About the song she said:
‘Different Desire’ started as a journal entry, observing the process of partners separating and the choices that lead to that. As the song developed, the true feelings I was having came to the surface and every step of the creation process reflected the feelings explored in the song. Thank you to everybody who has been a part of this song with me.
