The Birthdays is a collaboration between Ben Grey of Dear Boy & Jackson Phillips of Day Wave. The duo started their creative partnership after touring with each other in 2017 and worked on stuff when their schedules allowed it.
Last June they found themselves with more time and this summer the two got together to record, and the first result is the shimmering and dreamy indie anthem “Bunny.” It’s a track that is bathing with a warm glow of nostalgia and a bit of an 80s pop anthemic spirit that carries itself with the shine of a warm summer day well spent.
There will be more music soon before they both get busy with their respective projects, but for now, enjoy a listen to “Bunny” below.
