California-based singer-songwriter Elsa Bay caught our attention last year with the devastatingly great single “I Don’t Know” from their debut EP Rotten.
Bay has since returned with new single “Bed” a song that captures that same 90s asthethic of raw emotional intimacy and vivid imagery that feels poetic in nature but also purely cathartic at the same time. You can imagine the huddled masses gathered together when it’s safe to sing-along to every word live someday.
Enjoy a stream of “Bed” below, where we have also included a quote about it’s meaning:
I wrote this song about a couple relationships I’ve had where I loved the person more than they loved me back. Those feelings still haunt me, especially when I’m alone with my thoughts in bed at night.
