Portland’s Anna Tivel returned earlier in the year with her new release, Blue World, an album that saw her collaborate with fellow Portland musician friends Galen Clark and Micah Hummel to reimagine a collection of songs from previous releases.

This includes “One Thousand & One” taken from her 2014 debut album Before Machines. The new version captures a vulnerable and tender emotional atmosphere with a scattered piano and a stunning vocal performance that touches you deep within your core. Like a mix of Adrianne Lenker and Angel Olsen, it is a most devastating effect.

The whole album can be streamed and purchase at Bandcamp and you can take a listen to “One Thousand & One” directly below.
