Oxford Mississippi-based singer/songwriter Anne Freeman recently released her debut album Keep It Close on June 25th via local label Muscle Beach. We previously shared single “When I’m A Wreck” and hit back with another album standout in “I’ve Got A Knife.”
Freeman once again captures a natural old-school pop sound that feels readymade for easy summer listening, once again channeling the pop wisdom of Jenny Lewis with the vintage glow of Tennis. Her ability to craft a hook-fueled indie-pop song is apparent on both of these singles as well as the album as a whole.
