Cold War Kids will return with their album New Age Norms 3, the last of the New Age Norms trilogy, out Sept 24th via AWAL Recordings.
The news came with the release of the record’s lead single, “What You Say.” The track has that souful Cold War Kids rocking kick, just in a more pop friendly manner of delivery with some vibrant arrangements and a lively sense of style and production.
Cold War Kids’ Nathan Willett says of the single:
I think all of us want to reveal “our full selves“ to someone who truly understands. But when we do we expose ourselves to judgment, to criticism. so we don’t wanna give ourselves away too easily. That’s why poetry is awesome, it’s not politicizing, it speaks to our deeper, universal stuff. What you say is a big deal, your words have power.
