Rochester, New York’s Maybird will return with their new Alice in Wonderland-themed album, Wonderland, that they recorded during lockdown.
“Waiting For Whatever” is a slice of 70’s psych pop with colorful groovy arrangements and a lovely sense of emotion felt in the vocals channeling a mix of the new and old sounds of Tame Impala and MGMT.
About the song singer/songwriter Josh Netsky said he:
decided to embark on an album indulging the charming mystery and psychedelic darkness of Alice’s world and how it reflects reality. Evoking 60s psychedelic production, Waiting for Whatever explores the anguish of constantly feeling like you’re waiting, and not necessarily knowing what for – as if it’s just part of life.
