Caged Animals is the recording project of Jersey-born, Brooklyn-based songwriter Vincent Cacchione. He has recently let go of his new single “Dream World,” a single that he says is inspired by a dream that his daughter explained to him and taken from his upcoming album Underneath The Spell, due out on June 25th.

The track does carry a dream-like presence about it, with lush vocals, rich textured vibrant arrangements, and a powerful methodical nature that taps into something that has a larger-than-life presence about it and a wondrous atmosphere that is a joy to explore.

Enjoy “Dream World” below and find a full quote from Cacchione about the track below.

Dream World was inspired by a dream my daughter Alaska explained to me when she was three. She woke to tell me her story and I caught her recitation on my voice memos. A few years later I found the recording and was inspired to make a song around it. The music is built on a hypnotic but groovy bed and features Jeff Tobias (Sunwatchers, Modern Nature) on saxophone, as well as our core band of Patrick Curry, Talya Cacchione, Magali Charron, Dane Zarra, and some guest synthesizer from Thomas Disley.
