Torrid Horror is a British punk duo made up of Caine and Maud who describe their sound as to “hold no ideals to subscribe solely to one music genre.” They have recently released their awesome new single “To Tear at the Sea.”
The track channels the early days of The Horrors with the fun goth rock punk mixture with some colorful organ that give it a playful tone amongst the punk agnst that props it all up. The track takes inspiration from “nostalgic takes on self-destruction, struggles with mental health and violent stories.”
Pushing 7-minutes long, the track spans a few different elements and genres and offers a handful of surprises. Just when you think you have it figured out, it surprises you even more.
