Portland-based group Dead Coyote tap into something off their own horror-themed genre a bit of a self-described “goth dance” / “spooky disco” sound. They have released a new EP entitled APPARITIONATA that features a 4-part music video, one for every song on the EP.
Imagine a sound rooted from Halloween with a totally theatrical / broadway-esque quality to it. Take “II. Leave Me in the Ground” that feels like a mix of Nick Cave, The Horrors, Queen, and the cinematic world of Danny Elfman in one witch’s brew conjured up in an imaginative way. I gotta give it to them, this sure is different.
You can find the epic music video posted below and hear/buy the entire EP over at Bandcamp.
