Composer and producer Aman Jagwani creates a bit of a genre-bending experience on his new single “This Place,” which sees the featured vocals of singer Anubha Kaul. It’s the title track of an album due out on May 21st.
Jagwani creates a lush jazzy landscape with a really relaxing lounge esque feel that harkens to some smooth classics of a bygone era and even contemporary burgeoning legends like Kamasi Washington. The vocals of Kaul are a perfect compliment and take the song to an even higher level, as does a flugelhorn solo by Milena Casado.
