“Fool Me With Flattery” is the debut single from 19-year old North London musician Molly Burman.
She instantly casts a spell with a bit of a retro influenced pop sound with some gorgous lead vocals and equally pretty arrangements. Like a mix of Lily Allen and Molly Burch, there’s a folk element hidden under the surface of the smooth pop hooks that are quite simply irresistible.
Molly says of the track:
“I wrote the song after a long day of feeling overlooked and ignored by some of the guys in my life. I was fed up, angry and used the stereotype of a mansplaining misogynist to let it all out. This song is for anyone who feels belittled and like they’re being made to shrink themselves; be as big as you possibly can, and don’t let anyone fool you with flattery!”
