London trio Ski Lift has returned with their second single, the joyous “Portal,” which follows their 2019 debut single, “Comfortable Here.”
The track chugs along with a ready for summer power pop anthem that feels like it’s from the 90s with it’s easy going deliver and undeniable hooks. It doesn’t take very long for it to win over your affection and clocking in at barely two-minutes, it practically dares you not to hit the repeat button after its over.

It’s a love song to nature, but also a peacemaking process with my new hometown of Croydon – having grown up in the beautiful countryside of the welsh border, I have always found the transition between city and country to be a strange and bewildering thing to experience. But I have learned over the years that you can find vibrant energy in the fields and forests, and peace and solitude in the midst of a bustling city, if you look for it.
