Kelowna, British Columbia-based musician Tide Rider, whose previous offerings “Santa Barbara Heartbreak” and “Minus Touch” charmed the hell out of us, has recently come back with new offering “Golden Eyes.”
On “Golden Eyes” the artist is once again able to tap into an 80s inspired sound that has a bedroom pop intimacy and charm that wears its heart on its sleeve. Reminding of artists like Day Wave and Wild Nothing in the way it captures feelings of nostalgia and longing.
About the track he said:
Recorded this song on my reel to reel in my studio at home. It’s about when I met my wife for the first time, we spent summer nights by the lake in my hometown back in high school. I tried to create a nostalgic track remembering those time and painting a hazy summery jam.
Based on the final result, he most certainly succeeded with that goal in mind. Enjoy a listen to “Golden Eyes” now below.
