Chicago’s Hollyy caught our attention last August with their track “Wondering Why.” The group has since returned with new single “Sailing” that feels like a preview for better days to come this summer.
Silky smooth and laid back indie rock and folk vibes here, coasting on a cool as all hell sound that has some very heavy Whitney vibes from the tender smooth delivery and horns. This feels like a throwback to the tunes that came out in the 70s, which is certainly a compliment.
They also recently paired the new song with the ultra smooth r&b inspired “Hesitate,” which is just as silky smooth as “Sailing” and feels like a nice complimentary piece to the other track. Seductive vibes felt all around.
