Browning is a musician out of Texas who has just shared with us “Field Dream,” the second song he made, ahead of an album and music video that is in the works.
The song has an intiamte bedroom folk sound that feels like a mix between Alex G, Andy Shauf and Jose Gonzalez with an emotive delivery that feels honest and sincere.
It was recorded in a closet with a “handy little recorder” and is described with the following quote from Browning:
the song is somewhat of a storyline–beginning in the day time, and ending in the middle of the night. its about a sweet friend singing their scared friend to sleep. the song is supposed to be a manifestation the sweet friend’s lullaby, and the scared friend’s dream. the two friends are a dichotomous metaphor for a singular person. more broadly, the song is about fear, shame, self love, and metacognition.
