Perth, Australian-based band King Ibis have returned with their new track “I’m Not Yout Mum.” The track is described as being a sassy song about feeling unappreciated by a loved one with high expectations and throwing hands up in defiance.”
While indie rock may be the laziest way to describe the charming single, the track mixes and blends a few different genres including indie rock, dream pop, and even elements of folk. Like a mix of The Beths, Julia Jacklin, and TOPS.
