Divorce Court, the project of Salt Lake City-based producer Lynden Williams has recently returned with his new EP Two Kids. We’ve spent some time with the EP and are here to share two highlights from it.
The first is the chillwave inducing “Small Voices” which gives us glimpses of the summer of 2020 we wish that we had as well as the old school early days of acts like Washed Out and Neon Indian that really took us back with a sense of nostalgia.
Then there is the EP’s closer “Same Same.” Built around colorful production and synth work, this track also captures the same sonic headspace, just with a bit more of a floaty atmospheric tone that reminds of some of Chad Valley’s work. There’s a warm glow to the track with a big emotional pull that works wonders.
You can find the video for “Small Voices” included, below, along with a stream of “Same Same.” The entire EP is also streaming on Bandcamp.
