British outfit Low Hummer have returned with their big new single “Take Arms,” which was released via Leeds-based label Dance To The Radio.

The track sees the band collide the words of dance-rock with a bit of a post-punk and garage edge. There’s a brash rocking quality to it but also a bit of a playful colorful electronic element that pushes and pulls with each other.

Despite these elements, the song sees the band taking on political and social themes and putting into their own form.

About the track, the band’s Daniel Mawer explains:

I was pretty engrossed in the idea of the end of the world when I wrote ‘Take Arms’. I wanted to write a rallying call that would attempt to address everyone, at a point in the near future where we are at the edge of no return.”
