Courting, one of the UK’s most promising and exciting young ats, cave made the best of 2020, stealing our hearts with their single “David Byrne’s Badside” and hinting that there was still plenty still left to come. They have made good on that promise, announcing that their debut EP is entitled Grand National and will be released on April 9th via Nice Swan Records. Based on the new press photo, it also looks like they have added a new member to their lineup.

Along with the news comes the release of new single “Popshop!” It’s yet another addictive punk rocker that coasts along confidently, barely surpassing the 2-minute mark, yet delivering some memorable guitars riffs and another infectious chorus that you’ll be unable to unlatch from your brain. There’s a ton of Parquet Court here, delivered in an immediate satisfactory way that once again gives us confidence that Courting are indeed one of the best new bands in the scene, period.

You can find the official music video for the track available, another simple concept executed to perfection by director Pablo Broughton. We have also included the EP artwork and tracklist. You can also find a limited vinyl of the EP available to grab here while it lasts.
