Charlottesville, Virginia’s Gold Connections, the project of Will Marsh, will release new EP Ammunition on November 16th via AWAL. The band has recently shared the title track “Ammunition,” which follows the previously shared “Stick Figures.”
“Ammunition” strikes a big power pop rock mix that has a bit of a classic Tom Petty element to its delivery, one that kicks around with a bit of 90s charm that never feels tired. With a guitar riff that chugs alongside the big chugging chorus that is practically challenging you not to sing along, it’s a sneaky ear worm that you’ll be humming along in no time.
Marsh describes the song with the following:
It’s about finding yourself in a moment which you can only battle through to survive. I’m not talking about street violence or anything literal like that, but the smell of combat that lingers in the air, that fight or flight feeling which permeates even mundane situations.
