Alex Bleeker, bassist of Real Estate, has announced that he will return with new solo album Heaven on the Faultline, which will be released on March 5th, 2021 via Night Bloom Records. The record sees him operating just under his name, shedding the formerly used Alex Bleeker and The Freaks moniker.

Along with this news comes new single “D Plus,” a groovy tune that shares the jangly spirit of his work with Real Estate as well as a more upswinging sort of Grateful Dead and Feelies sound that has a glowing psychedelic edge to it. As well as a sort of darker inspiration than expected, as Bleeker describes “D Plus” as being “written on the day of President Trump’s inauguration with the cursed event in mind.” and “the album is very much about dealing with the feeling of impending doom.”
