Los Angeles singer-songwriter Georgia Feroce is working on her debut album which is due out sometime in early 2021. For now, we have an idea of what is to come by her new single “My Own Head.”
It’s a bright and hopeful folk-leaning song that straddles the line between 90s rock and pop in a familiar yet invigorating sense, with a keen sense for a catchy hook and melody, that makes us quite eager to see what she can bring to a full-length record.
You can find “My Own Head” available to stream below, along with a quote from Feroce about the track.
My Own Head is a song about trying to make sense of my weird dreams, strange thoughts, and existence, but ultimately succumbing to the realization that there’s not much sense to any of it. So I go to work, pay my bills, chase dreams and run from nightmares as long as I can before I disappear! This is my second single, and it will be my first music video. Yay! I’ve been building my audience and image as an artist since my last single, Must Be Nice, released July 31st, and I’m ready to start revealing what’s in store for 2021, which is my debut album! My Own Head is a great example of what you will hear on the album- a sort of matured teenage angst. Even the darkest lyrics manage to keep a glimmer of hope. That’s really my message as an artist. And what’s a better way to send a message than with a catchy song that you can’t help but to sing along? I really hope you enjoy it. Thanks for listening!
