Party Jacket is the solo project of Kenosha, Wisconsin’s Joshua Grimes. He’s recently shared his latest single “Moon.”
The song was released “during a time of civil unrest due to racial injustices with hopes of letting people know that they are not alone in their pain and frustrations.” Based on his location, we definitely have some idea as to what he’s referencing, let along the rest of what we have seen in 2020.
“Moon” is a track that channels a lot of the lush dreamy indie rock sound made by artists such as Real Estate, capturing a peaceful sort of daydream sound that feels very 90s in spirit and present-day in execution.
