KLEPTO is an indie rock outfit from Japan that formed in Tokyo last year. On September 12 they returned with their 2nd EP, 1983.
Today we are sharing with you two of the highlights from the release, the self-titled track “1983” and “Shape Of Love.”
The band finds a shimmering 80s sound on the aptly titled “1983” that feels romantic and full of retro influences that are fitted for modern times. Then there’s “Shape Of Love,” a more funky r&b flavored pop jam with a slight bedroom pop flavor that is equal parts chill and sincere.
