Todavía is the project of multi-instrumentalist Rhyan Riesgo, formed out of a little bedroom in Los Angeles. On October 2nd he will release his new album Orange Faint of Sky.
He’s recently let go of “Lone,” the final single released from the album. The track combines 80’s-inspired synth film scores with Chromatics-esque delivery of vocals, produced in a most acrobatic and dreamy fashion.
As the band describes it, “Lone” grapples with not being enough & never being enough but making peace with that reality.” Despite that description, it’s a lovely synth-pop delight that feels like a warm night drive out with someone you love, with the windows down and your whole life ahead of you. Anything but alone.
