NewDad are an alt-rock band from the West Coast of Ireland who has captured our hearts with their new single “Blue.”
The track captures an emotive gentle but highly seductive sound, a bit of a 90’s feel to it, with plenty of passion and grooviness that feels raw and passionate. It taps into this meditative melancholic quality so authentically, there is not a false note to be found on “Blue.”
As the band describes it:
The song describes the divide in a relationship. It tells the story of being with someone who wants more, but you can’t give it to them. It is the feeling of dragging someone back because you feel too blue. The song was written and recorded over quarantine from the bedrooms of NewDad.
