Something is the Baltimore, Maryland recording project of musician Jimmy Sale. He’s recently released his debut EP Fading Out, of which we are sharing two standouts from.
The opening title track “Fading Out” serves as a great introduction to the hopeful folk-rock that he creates, with a bit of a widescreen sonic territory that sounds like a mix of the spiritualness of Mutual Benefit.
Then there’s the sprawling synth-led “What Do I Know?” that taps into a more rocking groove channels artists like Kurt Vile and The War On Drugs with a road-trippin’ guitar texture that feels like the warm glow of the sun on your back.
This is quite an introduction to the music of Sale who has impressed us a great deal on his debut effort here.
