Skate Stance is the solo project of Washington D.C.’s Joshua Poggioli. He makes garage surf rock that is perfect for some listening on a hazy dreary summer day.
“Cant’ U See” is the debut single that he released a bit earlier in the year but it’s perfectly suited for listening right now. There’s a raw lo-fi charm to it that reminds of some of the early work of artists like Wavves and Beach Fossils.
It has that jangly goodness that reminds me of the sort of stuff we used to post all the time during the early days of the site as well.
