Local Nomad is the project of Long Island-native Michael Desmond, formerly of the band Gabriel the Marine. He’s currently operating under this new moniker, releasing colorful synth-pop such as the songs found on his new self-titled EP.
There’s no better example of the pop goodness that he delivers than on the EP’s standout offering “Summertime.” It’s got some big pop hooks and colorful synth exploration that builds a life-affirming and free-forming energy that is irresistible.
