Head Fake is an anonymous trio of veteran 80’s performers/producers recapturing the spirit of New Wave with today’s tools. They recorded their new release EP2 in studios in London, New Jersey, Los Angeles, and Miami creating a sound that’s both familiar yet honed in their own specific manner.
The members, known simply as Ivan, James, and Michael, came together to record the 5-song EP, producing 80’s influenced cuts such as “Songs for Daughters,” the lead single of the EP.
“Song for Daughters” captures the essence of these old school rockers while also channeling some new influences of their own, actually reminding a bit of the early album days of The National with the raw vocals that stand out amongst the rest of the track.
You can find a touching music video for “Song for Daughters” available to watch below. And you can stream the entire EP now on Spotify.
