Caroline Lazar is a New York-based folk musician whose songs have caught our attention of late. There’s a gentle simplicity to her songwriting, which isn’t a knock, but rather a display of refined songwriting confidence that she makes seem so natural.
This is most certainly the case with her latest release, “Take It.” She builds a pretty and minimal atmosphere around her, giving her vocals plenty of space to do their thing.
Lazer had this to say about the song: “Take It is a nostalgic folk song for anyone who has ever been lonely in love.” Considering our current situation, this song will probably ring true for many of us right about now.
