Bright Eyes marked their return last month with new single “Persona Non Grata,” their first song after a nine-year hiatus. Today the band returned with yet another track, second single “Forced Convalescence.”
It’s another winner from Oberst whose signature vocals tap into that emotional center. It expands its reach as it goes along, even tapping a gospel choir to join during it’s climatic finish.
We don’t have official word on a new album yet but with two new tracks and a tour originally planned for this summer (who knows what will happen with the virus), it seems there is plenty more new Bright Eyes on the docket.
