The Jaded Hearts Club is the supergroup consisting of Matt Bellamy (of Muse), Graham Coxon (of Blur), Miles Kane (of The Last Shadow Puppets), Nic Cester (of Jet), Sean Payne (of The zutons) and Jamie Davis (of Transcopic)
They first formed just to play some Beatles covers at a birthday party but have now become the real thing releasing some official recordings covering classic songs. Last month we got a cover of the Isley Brothers’ “Nobody But Me.” Now they’re back with a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “This Love Starved Heart of Mine (It’s Killing Me)”.
While the Isley Brothers track saw Miles Kane take lead vocals, Jet’s Nic Cester takes the lead on “This Love Starved Heart of Mine (It’s Killing Me).” Jamie Davis and Blur’s Graham Coxon back him on guitar, Muse’s Matt Bellamy on bass, and The Zutons Sean Payne behind the drum kit.
The band is planning to release an album of 10 covers from the Northern Soul/Motown period, with the goal to “shed light on some of the greatest lost songs ever written.”
