New York’s Noah Chenfeld has been a steady stream for reliable quality jams for the past few years and he gets better and better with every new release.

He just let go of his latest single “Stop The Bus,” a jam that sees Chenfeld expand his sound even further into the realm of garage rock, while still managing to expertly weave-in pop-minded songwriting (think power-pop greats like Weezer and Fountains Of Wayne) alongside all the glorious fuzz.

Paired with the release of the song is a fun music video (shot by Louis Sansano and starring Rachel Coster) that captures the youthful spirit of “Stop The Bus” quite well.

Chenfeld describes the song with the following:

I sometimes find strange coincidences happen to me more often than not (could they be the work of a higher power? the moon and the tides? just chance?) My girlfriend doesn’t believe in fate and tells me I’m crazy. But I can’t help but feel something else at work as I listen back to the song. “I find it hard to believe, that the world would fall asleep…” a lyric I wrote over 3 years ago, was at the time just a what-if, but now this stand-still alternate universe has now become an unthinkable reality for everyone on earth.

I hope this song can help people remember what life was like before and deliver a little bit of hope for the future. Or maybe it’s just another up-beat song to bob your head to, what do I know?
