Jackson Price was an actor in Los Angeles for 15 years doing guest spots on TV shows and supporting roles in movies. After feeling burned out as an actor, Price began writing his own music.
Back in December he and his band, Jackson Price and the Blues Rockets released their album I Used To Have Fun, where they set out to “pay homage to the roots of real music in a time where music played by real bands is dropping from the mainstream.”
Take the country-leaning offering “Staying High” taken from the album, that shows his connection to classic rock and country music, with a little bit of a twangy bar rock vibe that gives it a loose but still fun rocking feel that seems natural and raw.
You can find the whole album streaming on Spotify and check out “Staying High” below.
