Cape Weather is the Los Angeles-based duo of Natalie Smith and Eric Jackowitz. They’ve only released a handful of songs to date but have already garnered attention from them.
There’s no doubt that this will continue with their latest release, “Try Harder.” Reminiscent of some of the earlier work of Tennis, “Try Harder” has a sun-soaked timeless quality to it that is hard to resist. Smith’s vocals soar high above the polished instrumentation that sounds like a perfect summer day.
The track is off of an EP due later in the Spring and those who are in Austin for SXSW next month can catch the band there.
