Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, Downtown Market make the sort of delightful rock that feels like it’s time-traveled straight from the 90s indie rock scene.
This is felt strongly on their new single “Stay With Me,” which was released tonight. The track features dual female/vocals of members Sleepingowl and KurumiI Sasak that have a playful tone that works in tandem with the slick guitar work that carries a playful yet nostalgic tone that we can’t quite shake.
This is one of the most delightful tracks we’ve heard this month, we are looking forward to hearing more from this duo very soon.
