Air Devi is an artist from Philadelphia who may not be a name you know at this moment but based on the charming nature of her new single “Standoffish,” it’s only a matter of time until you become well acquainted with her.
She’s preparing to release her debut EP swanning about in March and based off of “Standoffish,” it’s a release we can’t wait to get our hands-on.
“Standoffish” is as lush and a dreamy of rocker as they come with a free-floating summery nature to it that reminds us of acts like Hatchie, Jay Som and Alvvays (extremely good company). There’s a timeless nature and quality to the song that we can’t quite shake.
It’s only January but it’s safe to call “Standoffish” as one of the very early highlights of 2020 so far.
