Seneko is the project of singer-songwriter Stan Olshefski, who has devoted himself to music for the better half of this decade, working out of Connecticut to hone in his songwriting craft. His sound is one that has a warm familiar Americana and folk feel to it, with a confident songwriting prowess that instantly connects. Earlier this year he put this on full display with his new EP Soul Numbers, his third release over the past four years.
A good example of Stan’s songwriting talent can be found on the EP’s opening cut “The Devil You Don’t Know,” a track that has a timeless old school folk quality to it, reminding of various legends such as Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and many others, with a soulful touch sprinkled throughout the effortless number that radiates as vital and true every step of the way.
