The last time we saw Goon was at Saint Vitus this Spring prior to the release of their debut album Heaven is Humming via Partisan Records. Over the weekend they returned to Brooklyn for a headlining performance of their own at The Broadway in support of the album.
As great as the band sounded last time at Saint Vitus, they sounded even tighter this time around, absolutely ripping through the California sun-soaked garage rock anthems from both the LP and their previous releases that sounded straight out of the 90s in the best way possible. As a live outfit, they seemed even stronger than before and gave us a memorable first visit to The Broadway.
