Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard released her lovely debut solo album Jaime earlier this month via ATO Records. She’s been touring in support of the album, which brought her back to New York on September 24th for a big-time headlining performance at Beacon Theatre.
Along with the personal offerings from her album, she played “Bring Your Love to Me,” an unreleased Bermuda Triangle offering, along with covers of Prince’s “The Breakdown” and Jackie Wilson’s “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher” to help keep the soulful vibes spread strong throughout the evening along with her own material.
