This summer saw Vancouver, BC-based 16-year-old multi-instrumentalist Aza Nabuko release her self-titled debut album via JumpAttack! Records.
Nabukowas raised on a “healthy dose of mountain air and eclectic music” and puts that to good use with her music, which finds a powerful balance between pop ballads and chilled out indie. Take her big sweeping single “Fade Away,” a track that showcases her larger than life vocals over some tender and well-built pop ballad orchestration. At just 16, it’s pretty clear that she has quite a promising future ahead of her.
