Charlottesville, Virginia trio Stray Fossa have stayed busy this summer, just recently releasing new single “Eyze” last month and now having returned with its follow-up, “These Days.”
The track has a lazy summer feeling to it, reminding a bit of the chill jangly rock of a band like Real Estate, with some dreamy vibes surrounding it and giving it a vintage glow.
The track deals with “the creeping and healthy disillusionment that should occur as one grows to recognize and encounter their own position of privilege. The music was co-written by all three band members in the span of one afternoon and then sent to Arielle Korman who collaborated on the violin that features heavily in the track’s outro.
