Rebecca Haviland and Whiskey Heart channels some heavy alt-country and folk vibes on her single “Hideaway,” a track reminiscent of some of the smokey work of modern acts such as Jenny Lewis with plenty of modern pop flourishes to expand its sound in a new and fresh direction.
There’s a lot of heart and passion that comes pouring out of the singer here with some lovely arrangements that were made with the intention of those warm summer nights in mind.
