Low Key Crush are an indie act out of Melbourne, Australia. The band started as a new project of singer/guitarist Tim Haines, along with bassist Ella Francis and drummer Taycian Lord. Their love of 90s guitar-based pop music has clearly influenced the lush and dreamy nature of their debut single, “Swimming Laps.”
As the band themselves put it:
“Swimming Laps” is itself a love song, pining for love that of course doesn’t exist, or if it does isn’t coming out as committal any time soon. But why experience the requited when you can sing about the unrequited.
