New Zealand’s French For Rabbits are set to re-release their album The Weight of Melted Snow here in the States via Muscle Beach Records. This will bring the band to the U.S. come March for a showing off at SXSW.

Today we share with you “Highest Hill,” a beautiful indie-pop offering from the album that showcases the vocal talents of Brooke Singer (an ever-appropriate last name) that she wrote as “an exercise on transposing a fictional, but very real, complex emotional desire to hold love while also desiring to hurt the person and how those past traumas play themselves out in new situations with people.”

Paired with some atmospheric and thoughtful production, the track hits a wide variety of emotion that is quite fitting for some winter listening as your snuggled up warm inside.

Something tells me 2019 will be a good year for these guys here in the U.S.

Enjoy a stream of “Highest Hill” below.
