Interbellum is the musical project of Lebanese singer-songwriter Karl Mattar. The project was formed in 2015 and sees him working alongside multi-instrumentalist and producer Fadi Tabbal and other musicians from the Beirut music scene. What started as a lo-fi rock outfit has expanded into something more of a left-field pop-rock sound.
On October 5 they released their new album Dead Pets, Old Griefs. “Ready To Dissolve” is a highlight off the album and a true showcase of their winning lo-fi formula that sounds like a dreamy mix of Yo La Tengo and Luna. What else do I need to say?
